October 10th marked the first official NCAA practice for four college programs in Nebraska. We caught up with their head coaches and they shared their reactions to the first day.

“Great practice, with guys that were dialed in and focused on getting better, physical, and developing their competitive spirit”

-Mark Manning, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (NCAA Division 1)

“Our first practice went great, we accomplished what we wanted and got out. The younger guys are responding and adapting well. We just need to stay consistent everyday when we are in the wrestling room.”

-Brett Hunter, Chadron State College (NCAA Division 2)

“The first day is in the books and there is no doubt we got 1% better today. If we can continue to grow and improve, I’m excited to see what this team is capable of come March.”

-Dalton Jensen, University of Nebraska-Kearney (NCAA Division 2)

“The first day of practice showed that the wrestlers and program as a whole is in a good spot right now. The guys are a year older and stronger, and are excited to be back on the mat working towards their goals this season.”

-Brandon Bradley, Nebraska Wesleyan University (NCAA Division 3)
