Nebraska wrestling commit and Pennsylvania high school prep Mikey Labriola picked up a big victory this weekend at Flowrestling’s high school all-star dual Who’s #1. Labriola came in the top ranked wrestler at 170 pounds and took on Cadet World team member Travis Wittlake of Oregon.
Neither wrestler was able to get to their offense through the first two periods of the match, with two escapes being the only points scored for most of the match. With the clock winding down and Sudden Victory seemingly eminent, Labriola came out with a last second shot for the win, which he was to score on with just seven seconds remaining in the bout. Labriola won by the final score of 3-1.
Wrestling just minutes away from his high school, Labriola notched the victory in front of hometown fans while defending his No. 1 ranking.
