
Husker football will not be the only sport with a big recruiting weekend. It has been well advertised Nebraska has a lot going on this weekend. This afternoon the university announced a monster $155 million dollar facility that will be used across all Nebraska athletics. It will include a new training table and academic center among other new upgrades.
Husker wrestling will have three Junior visitors in this weekend. Two hail from Pennsylvania while the third comes from Oregon. Coming from Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis, Oregon is Chance Lamer. Northhampton High School product Jagger Condomitti. Finally coming from Stroudsburg High School, Lenny Pinto.
Lamer will enter his junior season already taking home state titles as a Freshman at 106 pounds and as a sophomore at 113 pounds. Lamer has also put together an impressive freestyle career. In 2017 he was UWW cadet runner up. In 2018 he took home the UWW championship at 45 kilograms, advancing to the world championships. At worlds, Lamer finished with a fifth place finish. This past summer, Lamer competed at Fargo going 4-2 at 120 pounds in the Junior division. Lamer is currently #63 prospect on the Flo 2021 big board.
Condomitti has already picked up some big wins in his young career. At the Pennsylvania team championships, he knocked off #1 nationally ranked Ryan Anderson 5-4. In the 2019 state individual championships, Condomitti finished in fourth place. He followed up his high school season by winning the 145 pound sophomore division championship in Virginia Beach. In 2018 Condomitti was runner up in the freshman division at 132 pounds. He was also a Fargo All American in freestyle in 2018. Condomitti is the #51 overall prospect on the 2021 big board.
Pinto carries a #4 national ranking with him at 170 pounds. Pinto finished his high school season with a third place finish. He followed his high school season up with a huge summer. He finished in First place in the cadet freestyle division in Fargo. He followed that up with a third place finish in cadet Greco Roman division. Pinto is currently the #8 prospect on the Flo 2021 big board.
Nebraska already has a big time class coming in this year with 4 wrestlers committed on the Flo Wrestling class of 2020 big board. #9 Dom Serrano, who will be wrestling next week in Flo’s Who’s Number One challenge in Iowa City. The other members are #17 Silas Allred, #26 Nathan Haas, and #57 Jerimiah Reno. Nebraska is also waiting on the decision of the top rated wrestler in the country, AJ Ferrari. Ferrari is choosing between Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, and Oklahoma. So with much of this years class already under the belt, Nebraska can start working on next season.
nebraska will also get Hardy and another athlete from Utah joining team after their Mormon two year missions. That is Brock Hardy , the #2 ranked 145 lber in 2018.
