Doane was in a bad place season. They could hardly fill a lineup and then lost their coach at the end of the season, and saw their best wrestler transfer out of the program. Insert Dana Vote, He has proven him self at Concordia and Midland and now looks to turn around the Doane program. Through the first half season he is off to a great start. His Tigers squad is 1-0 in duals. He has ranked wrestlers at 141, #5 Baterdene Boldmaa, #20 Michael Scarponi, and #20 Dustin Carstens. In his first year, Vote has enterd many Opens to get his wrestlers matches.

Doane will have the Conference duals at the end of January. They have the Hastings Open, Sioux City Dave Edmonds Open, and the Missouri Valley Open before ending the season with three conference duals.
