Caleb Lefferdink has signed with the NCAA Division II Northern State Wolves. Caleb was a 3-time medalist and 2-time Nebraska State Champion for the Syracuse Rockets. He ended his career with a 159-34 record and owns victories over some of the states best at 285 in all classes over the last several years and was undoubtedly a coveted upper weight recruit for the Wolves.

The recruiting process wasn’t an easy one for Caleb as it involved some very tough decision making. After visiting several schools in the Midwest Caleb said, “the recruiting process was a very long and frustrating process because there were a few colleges that I really liked, and it was hard to tell a coach no.”

He ultimately decided on Northern State largely in part to the family style atmosphere he was used to while wrestling in high school. “The coaching staff was made up of a bunch of awesome guys who care about me as a person as well as a wrestler, and I felt when I talked to the wrestlers and hung out with them for awhile that they were more of a family than a team and that’s what I’m used to in Syracuse so I knew I would fit in well.”

Good luck Caleb!
