Class D Weekend #2 Report

Nebraska Duals:
High Plains competed well over they weekend while wrestling schools from classes A, B, and C. Logan Russell and Payton Stevens both went 8-0, while teammates Kyle Stevens went 7-1 and Clay Church went 5-3.

Wood River Invite:
Amherst finished 2nd as a team behind Class C Ord. Amherst was not at full strength this weekend as they were without the services of freshman 106 #5 Isaiah Shields.

A tournament that featured many class D team was won by Class C Cross County. Class D top ten teams Palmer, East, Butler, and Elkhorn Valley finished 3,4,5 respectively.

Plainview finshed 3rd in a tight team race that separated them by 7.5 points from Champion Battle Creek and 2 points behind runner-up and defending class C champion David City

Burwell Dominated the Sargent invite behind their 3 #1 ranked wrestlers in Torey Huffman 182, Tyler Gideon 220 and Thomas Hughes 285.

Cam Wilkenson of Neligh Oakdale was started the season strong returning to the 106 pound weight class

Trevor Nelson appears to be set to competing at 113 this season
