Millard South ran away with the team title placing 11 wrestlers in the finals. They had all fourteen wrestlers qualify for state leading Class A with the most qualifiers. The Patriots did switch things up and moved #5 (170) Caedin Olin up to 182 and their 182 pounder, JJ Letanser down to 170. Olin had not wrestled over the past month since he was dealing with an injury. Another wrestler that moved up was #8 (138) Jackson Jeanette from Millard West bumping up to 145 where he finished runner up. Columbus came in second place, qualifying 11 wrestlers for state. A couple of the bigger matches were #1 Garrett Grice defeating #2 Landan McLaughlin 25-10. #4 Jack McDonnell defeated #3 Blayze Standley by fall. Brenyn Delano defeated #7 Enrique Haynes to reach the 106 finals. Caleb Coyle and Gabe Grice renewed their rivalry and just like the 2019 finals, the match went to ultimate tie breakers with Coyle coming out on top. #1 Joel Adams defeated #2 Daniel DeRosier in the finals at 138 6-4. It is Adams second win this season over DeRosier. #4 Conor Hoy picked up a decision over #2 Charlie Nosal to win 195. At heavyweight #10 Ryan Kocovsky went to overtime and picked up a big win over #3 Nolan Olafson.
