David City is wrestling like a state championship caliber team. The emergence of Eickmeier at 145 along with Bongers (113) and Schindler (120) beating higher ranked guys, means they could potentially position themselves for a title in Omaha. The Scouts has seven champs and beat a very tough Boone Central team by 43. Fillmore Central has a great group also and finished in third.

120 was just nuts as the semifinals saw #7 Schindler beating #4 Waddington and #6 Olberding beating #2 Dozler. Olberding won the title with a 4-0 win over Schindler. A very good Dylan Gewecke of Fillmore Central was the odd man out at this weight, but the future is bright for him as he’s just a freshman.

At 138 #8 Logan Burt had a nice win over #6 Ancheta. They’ll be joined by #7 Poppe next week. Tri County’s #9 Drew Garrison didn’t compete.

285 came down to the wire with #1 Ingwersen beating #8 Asche 4-2 in OT. 285 should be exciting down the stretch as there are probably 8-10 guys with a legit chance of winning it.
