Although Norfolk lost their first dual of the day to Johnson County Central of Minnesota (44-24) they still won the tournament. Alex Thompson (182) and Matthew Montgomery (220) both went undefeated for the Panthers. Jackson Reeves (132)170
Zachary Hintz (170) and Dalton Freiberg (195) all posted 4-1 records.

Burns Mat Classic (Bonner Springs, KS):
Bellevue East won this 16-team tournament that included teams from Missour and Kansas. The Chieftains outscored the 2nd place team by 20 points on the strength of champions Derek Wagstaff (138) and Joel Anstine (285). Doug Cheek (113), Gabriel Jeffrey (182) and Ricky Bollinger finished as runner-ups, and three others finished in the top 4 of their respective weight classes.

Gator Invite (Northstar HS):
Brayden Smith (106), Phillip Moomey (120), Nick James (132), Teontae Wilson (145), Tyler Tracy (182), and Lee Herrington (285) took home individual titles for Kearney, while Rylie Steel (113) and Izzy Bautista (220) placed second. The Bearcats took an extra 7 wrestlers who wrestled unattached, and four of them placed in the top 4 of their weight classes. Finishing as team runner-up was
Omaha Central who finished with 3 champions including Eron Haynes (126), Joseff Cleaver (138) and Dax Galloway (152). Those three combined for 8 falls on the weekend. Emilio Haynes (106) finished 2nd and four others finished in the top 4 of their weight classes. High Plains Invite:
Creighton Prep finished 15th in this 22-team tournament filled with B, C and D schools. The two highest placers for the Bluejays were runner-up Eamon Morrison (145) and third place finisher Alex Ogorzaly (285). Morrison had a solid 5-2 win over a dangerous 2nd ranked class B opponent and pinned the 6th ranked wrestler in class D. Morrison’s only loss was to the 3rd ranked wrestler in class C.

Beatrice Invitational:
Lincoln Southeast (3rd) was the highest placing class A school with Papio South (6th) and Lincoln Northeast (7th) also representing class A. The Knights saw Adam Kinnaman (126) and Chance Fry (132) win back to back tournament titles and Fry won 5-1 over a two-time defending state champion in the finals. Arman Erickson (113) finished 2nd while Nathan Gunther (145) and Logan Froistad (285) both finished 3rd. Papillion- La Vista South had two champions in Gabe Durden (106) and John Hamilton (195). Both champions earned bonus point wins in all 4 of their matches and Durden beat two ranked class B opponents. Josh Benak (145) finished 2nd and Caleb Connor (120) finished 3rd for the Titans. Lincoln Northeast had two finalists in Caden Frazier (126) and Mar’San Casteneda (285), while Corbin Sindel (132) and Jacob Sabin (138) finished 3rd.

The Rams had 10 wrestlers finish in the top four of their weight classes and were anchored by upper weight champions Dajour Willis (220) and Kainan Bowyer (285). Shane Kildow (106) and Jacob Cutsor (160) were runner-ups. Omaha Bryan took home three individual titles on the day including Ladamien Sturdivant (106) Aweys Salat (120) and Gavin Howard (126). Howard had 3 pins included one in the finals over the 2nd ranked wrestler and returning state runner-up from class D. Jacob Widhalm (152) and Gervais Lessley (285) both finished 3rd for the Bears.
