106: #6 Austin Munier (Sidney) 25-8 vs. Malachi Bordovsky (Wahoo) 33-11

Munier has had a solid season since he made the decent to 106, including a win over #2 Arends. Bordovsky was an overtime loss in the semi-finals away from facing off with #3 Svoboda in the district finals.

113: #3 Jaylan Ruffin (North Platte) 31-12 vs. #6 Michael Mass (Ralston) 27-3

Ruffin entered districts as the #3 ranked wrestler in the state, but took a couple of tough losses. Mass has proven that he belongs at or near the top of the weight class with a great freshman campaign.

120: Reece Jaqua (Wayne) 40-7 vs. Cesar Sandoval (Conestoga) 40-6

With a combined record of 80-13, Jaqua and Sandoval are two wrestlers that have flown under the radar all season. The winner of this battle will give #4 Ruff a great battle in the quarterfinals.

126: Trevor Reinke (Beatrice) 29-7 vs. Kenneth Castro (Schuyler) 33-8

Reinke has made a big splash on the scene over the last month. Castro has had a solid season and gave #4 Quandt a great match in the district finals.

132: #5 Koby Brandenburg (Central City) 46-4 vs. Brady Fago (Lexington) 34-6

132 is one of the most open weight classes in Class B and this match-up is a perfect example. Brandenburg is a returning state champion and Fago is capable of hanging with anyone.

138: Colby Puck (Bennington) 30-13 vs. John Karpov (Raymond Central) 30-14

Puck and Karpov are two wrestlers who been having good seasons without a lot of fanfare. Both are capable of pushing for a medal.

145: #2 Chris Adams (Nebraska City) 33-2 vs. #5 Brody Raines (Sidney) 41-9

Adams has been the #2 ranked wrestler all season and continued his run at districts. Raines had some stumbles in districts falling to #1 Gutierrez and #4 Zink. The loser of this match is capable of coming back and getting on the stand.

152: KC Higer (Sidney) 41-6 vs. Liam Landauer (Blair) 34-13

These two met up in the state duals finals, with Higer besting Landauer. Look for a high scoring match from these two.

160: #2 Caden Yrkoski (Schuyler) 28-5 vs. Jordan Moyer (Nebraska City) 36-9

Yrkoski has had a very good season and has been in the top three all year. Moyer has flown under the radar, but is more than capable of making a deep run.

170: #3 Ace York (Fairbury) 42-8 vs. #4 Brogan Fehlhafer (Seward) 28-12

Surprisingly these two have not met this year, but look for a great match in the first round. The winner should have a great chance of advancing to the semi-finals.

182: #4 Kole Bordovsky (Wahoo) 35-8 vs. Noah Machnicki (Adams Central) 30-9

Bordovsky is another Wahoo wrestler that has proven he is more than worthy of his ranking. Machnicki has put together a very good season and could win several matches in the tourney.

195: #3 Dylan Meyer (Norris) 34-9 vs. Lance Cattin (Chadron) 30-9

Cattin has put together a strong season but hasn’t cracked the rankings. Meyer has been in the 3rd spot all season and has the tools to get on the stand.

220: #1 Jesus Maganda (Schuyler) 34-0 vs. #5 Bailey Hood (Alliance) 26-8

Maganda has held the #1 spot all season and brings an undefeated record into state. Hood has come on as of late before hitting some roadblocks in districts.

285: Cody Thompson (Columbus Lakeview) 24-11 vs. Nourdin Nouili (Norris) 18-6

Thompson and Nouili will be an interesting difference in styles. Nouili is still inexperienced on the mat, but has great athleticism. Thompson is a prototypical heavyweight with great throwing abilities.
